A Discrete Occasion Effect is selected by the menu selections FillCol, Occasion Effect, Discrete choices. The current column plus enough additional columns are filled with a discrete occasion effect, repeated as necessary to fill the columns. As an example, suppose the following design matrix is on the screen, consisting of all zeros, and there are 4 re-encounter occasions. The cursor is in the highlighted (underlined) cell.
