Number of Groups

The number of groups is the number of distinct groups of animals that is specified in the encounter histories file. Typically, groups are animals of different ages at capture, such as young, subadults, and adults, or treatment and control groups. Each group can be given its own group name.

The upper limit on the number of groups is set by computer memory.
