Rotate Column

By clicking on Rotate Column, or using the Ctrl+R shortcut, you can rotate values in current column, or other columns you designate, down the number of rows you specify in the Design Matrix. The rotated column will have the same values, just rotated down. As a result, the entries in the rotated columns will now apply to a new set of parameters. A common use of the Rotate Column capability is to copy model structure from a set of columns and then rotate the new columns down to use the same model structure on a different set of parameters. The number of rows to rotate the column can be negative, meaning that the column will be rotated up instead of down.

As an example, suppose the design matrix looks like the following, with the cursor positioned on the cell with the underlined value.
