Teaching:
Dr. Andelt teaches a graduate course in managing human-wildlife conflicts, and has taught undergraduate courses in field wildlife studies and wildlife inquiries.

Research:
Dr. Andelt conducts research on behavioral ecology and management of carnivores; ecology, management, and monitoring of prairie dogs; and managing conflicts with wildlife. �His current projects include research on ecology of the Island Fox on San Clemente Island, California, ecology of the American Marten on the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska, evaluation of methods for deterring pileated woodpecker damage to electric utility poles, and occupancy surveys of Gunnison’s and white-tailed prairie dogs in Colorado
