Plan C Masters of Natural Resources Stewardship

This degree is a coursework-only, non-thesis, professional master's degree. It is intended to provide students who already have professional experience in natural resources with a broad natural resources education and specialized resource management expertise in one of six core specializations: 1) conservation biology, 2) ecological restoration, 3) forest sciences, 4) rangeland ecosystems, 5) spatial information systems, or 6) watershed sciences.

The Plan C can be completed in two to three semesters of full time coursework, however three semesters is most common. Some courses require prerequisites that incoming students may need to complete, and some highly desired courses are only offered every other year. Therefore, the length of time required to complete the program depends on the student's background and desired courses.

The Master's of Natural Resources Stewardship application process differs slightly from our other degrees.  It is outlined in detail in this PDF: How to Apply to the Master's of Natural Resources Stewardship.  Please note that unlike our other graduate degrees, the Master's of Natural Resources Stewardship program only accepts new students in the fall semester.
